Spotify has just announced the integration of a new feature called Friends Mix.
The new feature will create playlists, based on the music preferences of the user and their friends. Because everything is better with friends, especially streaming music platforms.
Spotify’s New Friends Mix feature builds on the existing Blend option
It is common for us to share music playlists with our friends and ask them for references to enrich and change the endless lists that we maintain on the Sportify platform with our favorite bands, artists and musical themes.
With that in mind, Spotify has just made available the new Friends Mix feature, based on the existing Blen feature, which will create music playlists, based on the preferences of the user and their friends. How does it work? In a very simple way.
After the user has created three Blends for two people, the platform will generate a new playlist, which will be based on the tastes of each user. This list, which is effectively the Friends Mix, will appear in the Made for Us area of ​​the Made For You Hub.
Best of all, the Friends feature is available to both premium users and free service users worldwide.
In its statement about the new feature, the well-known streaming platform highlights that Friends Mix is ​​updated daily, which means that the two users will always find news for their musical repertoire.
How to use the Blend feature on the Sportify platform
Since the new Friends Mix functionality is based on the Blend resource already available on the platform, let’s remember here how the latter can be used.
Type Blend into the Spotify search bar. Then choose Invite to select a friend and they will receive an invitation.
Once your friend accepts the invitation, Spotify will create a shared playlist in Blend that will include your musical preferences as well as those of the invited friend.
Then everyone can enjoy this music session and even share it on social networks. The created Blend will be updated daily.
And once you’ve created three two-person Blends, you can enjoy the new Friends Mix feature with your peers on the streaming platform.
