Sports Minister Camacho’s mother is buried

Expressions of solidarity were expressed this Wednesday afternoon during the funeral of the remains of Mrs. Hilda Caridad Rivas, widow Camacho, mother of the Minister of Sports, Francisco Camacho.

The wake and burial took place in the Jardin Memorial cemetery, after a heartfelt ceremony was performed in which the eternal rest of his soul was requested.

Dozens of people traveled to give a Christian burial to Mrs. Rivas, who died Tuesday night at her residence in Santo Domingo, at the age of 85.

José Ovalle spoke on behalf of the family, who highlighted the kindness of Mrs. Hilda who, together with her late husband, Francisco Javier Camacho, procreated exemplary children for society.

"Hilda was a person with faultless conduct, her children, men and women of value, should feel proud of the mother they had, ”said Ovalle, a close friend of the family.

The deceased lady is survived by her children, Carlos Francisco, Rhina, Francisco José, Marisol, Miguel Ángel, Jovanna, Luis José and Kenia, as well as grandchildren, nephews and other relatives.

The cemetery was attended by Roberto Fulcar, Minister of Education; Catalino Correa Hiciano, Comptroller General of the Republic; Deligne Ascención, Minister of Public Works; Milton Morrison, CEO of Edesur; José Andújar, mayor of Santo Domingo Oeste, and Antonio Marte, senator for the Santiago Rodríguez province.

Vitelio Mejía, president of the Dominican Baseball League; Antonio Acosta, president of the Dominican Olympic Committee; Dionisio Guzmán, president of the Dominican Sports Pavilion of Fame; Luisín Mejía, member of the International Olympic Committee, as well as Felipe Payano and Danilo Díaz, former Sports Ministers.

The presidents of the different federations, sports editors, vice ministers, among others, joined the list of people who came to support the family of Minister Camacho.
