Sports Christmas with the Police takes boxing exhibition to Jeringa, San Cristóbal

As part of the sports activities that it has been carrying out in different parts of the country at Christmas, the National Police took a boxing exhibition to the vulnerable sector of Jeringa, San Cristóbal, where members of the National Team that represented the Dominican Republic in the past participated. Youth World Cup held in Spain.

“The neighborhoods of Jeringa and Las Flores are two very vulnerable sectors of San Cristóbal and that is why our general director, Alberto Then, supports this and any initiative in favor of youth,” said Colonel Jacobo Mateo Moquete, Sports Commander of police .

Youth boxers from the clubs participated in the exhibition card: Nizao (Baní), Los Guerreros de Quita Sueño (Haina), as well as the neighborhoods of Jeringa and Las Flores, San Cristóbal, who exchanged with native police boxers from the area.

“We thank the Police for coming with boxers from the institution who are natives of San Cristóbal or near here, that motivates young people to stay in the sport looking for a better future,” said Alejandro Jiménez, president of the Jeringa Neighborhood Council. .

In the same terms, Ramón Valdez, president of the Nizao Sports Club, expressed himself, who pointed out that activities of this type do a lot of good for the institution of order because young people see it in another dimension.

The activity was coordinated by former national champion and police instructor Yovanny Lorenzo and Alejandro Jiménez, president of the Jeringa Neighborhood Board.
