On the day of Ashura, special arrangements have been made for pilgrims, fasting and worshipers in Masjid al-Haram, and additional assistants have also been appointed.
Ashura Day is being celebrated with devotion and respect in most countries of the world today in memory of the great sacrifice of Imam Hussain, the grandson of the Prophet, in Karbala. Special arrangements have been made for pilgrims in Masjid al-Haram.
According to the Masjid al-Haram administration, special arrangements have been made for pilgrims, fasting and worshipers on Ashura Day. In view of the large number of pilgrims, additional helpers have been appointed while extra bottles of Zamzam water will also be distributed among the pilgrims.
On the other hand, Ashura Day is being celebrated with devotion and respect in different countries including Iraq, Iran, Syria. Processions are being taken out to pay homage to the martyrs of Karbala. In Bahrain, village elders are maintaining the tradition of preparing food for the participants of the procession.
