It has been several years now since a reboot of Spawn, invented by the Canadian Todd McFarlane, is expected in cinemas. Many rumors have come to garnish the news around the film. Probably produced by Blumhouse Productions even if Jason blum is quite stingy in detail on the project, the film could record the arrivals of Jamie Foxx and Jeremy Renner in the distribution although many details still need to be finalized. First: the script.
McFarlane had previously announced that the film was written and even already transmitted to Jeremy renner and Jamie foxx. However, it should be rewritten. the Hollywood Reporter informs that the scenario will be overseen by Brian tucker, best known for writing the crime thriller Broken City in 2013, which had Mark Wahlberg headlining. The feature film has wallowed miserably from a critical standpoint, with just 28% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. No release date or production start date has yet been set for Spawn but no doubt that if there is a change of screenwriter and the presence of a real serious producer (Jason Blum is not known for dropping film projects) then the project can finally be on track.
