Spanish Tennis Players Secure Titles in ITF and Challenger Events This Week

The week’s ITF and Challenger tournaments have brought another title to the Spanish contingent, this time in the men’s futures circuit. Let’s take a closer look at the key results.

In the M15 tournament held in Monastir, Tunisia, we saw some impressive performances from Spanish players. Alberto Barroso reached the semifinals in the individual competition, while Barroso and Ignasi Forcano teamed up to win the doubles title – a first for both Alberto and Ignasi in their inaugural partnership. Meanwhile, at the M15 tournament in Villena, Alicante, Alejandro Manzanera made it to the semifinals, with Sergio Alley and Diego Barreto reaching the quarterfinals. The doubles competition saw Alejandro Garcia and Mario Mansilla partner up to reach the final.

On the women’s circuit, Guiomar Maristany made it to the quarterfinals at the W35 tournament in Manchester, United Kingdom. Over in the W15K tournament in Manacor, Balearic Islands, Noelia Bouzó put in a strong performance to reach the finals.

Moving to the Challenger circuit, after two weeks of titles for Pablo Carreño in Tenerife, the results have been somewhat more subdued. However, in the 75K tournament held in Glasgow, United Kingdom, Daniel Corner managed to reach the semifinals, a notable achievement in a highly competitive field.
