According to a report from the Daily Mail, DiCaprio was heading into a tequila party in Ibiza. But the Spanish police officers on duty didn’t seem to know who he was. They apparently thought he was just another local person attending the event. Because of this, the actor and his friends were stopped outside the party. They had to wait for a routine security check.
DiCaprio often tries to keep a low profile in public. He sometimes covers his face to avoid attention. This time, however, he arrived at the tequila party without a mask. He was dressed in all black, wearing a baseball cap and a gold chain. Photos and videos from the scene show DiCaprio quietly scrolling on his phone. He was waiting patiently while security did their job. In the background of one video, a woman’s voice can be heard saying, “They’re searching me completely right now.” It’s not clear who that woman was.
Sources say the police didn’t give DiCaprio any special treatment. Everyone entering the party was searched and had their identity checked. It seems many other famous people were also at this party. This might explain why the police didn’t immediately recognize DiCaprio. He was only allowed inside after he passed the security screening.
