Real Madrid, led by Italian Carlo Ancelotti, reached the top of the Spanish League by defeating Betis 1-0 as a visitor this Saturday, with a goal from defender Daniel Carvajal. The whole of the capital reached seven points and shares the top with Seville, which drew 1-1 with Elche, Mallorca and Valencia, which on Friday had beaten Espanyol 1-0 and Alavés 3-0, respectively.
At Betis, which is coached by Chilean Manuel Pellegrini, the Argentines Germán Pezzella and Guido RodrÃguez were the starters, two of the players cited by Lionel Scaloni for the triple round of qualifying for the World Cup in Qatar.
Celta Vigo, led by Argentine Eduardo “Chacho” Coudet, with goalkeeper MatÃas Dituro as the starter and with Augusto Solari and Franco Cervi entering the second half, lost 1-0 at home with Athletic Bilbao and suffered his second defeat in three dates.
What’s more, Seville, with the Argentine Marcos Acuña as the starter and the income of Alejandro “Papu” Gómez and Erik Lamela in the second half, drew 1-1 away with Elche, which had Iván Marcone, DarÃo Benedetto and Lucas Boyé as starters in the initial formation, and reached the top with seven points, while Real Sociedad beat Levante 1-0 at home.
The third date will be completed on Sunday with the crosses Barcelona-Getafe, Cádiz-Osasuna, Rayo Vallecano-Granada and Atlético de Madrid-Villarreal.
