Spain wins its third match, 6-1 against Wales

The Spanish men’s field hockey team won this Friday 6-1 against Wales their third game in the League of Nations Road to India tournament that will be held in San Fernando until next Wednesday the 21st.

The team led by Max Caldas, scored their goals through Marc Miralleson two occasions; Bruno Font, Xavier Gispert, Borja Lacalle and Pepe Cunill. The visiting goal marked it Gareth Furlong.

Spain used more players than in its two previous friendlies, beaten Japan (6-2) and South Korea (5-3).

The first quarter ended with a 0-0 tie, but from the second Spain was superior and arrived with a 2-0 run at halftime. In the third, the Spanish team achieved most of their goals, without giving the Welsh a chance.

The rest of the meetings that Spain has planned in the capo Pablo Negre de San Fernando they will measure Belgium on Sunday, France on Monday and on Wednesday the 21st against Germany.

The next World Cup will be held in India between January 13 and 29, 2023.
