Spain registers its maximum incidence in the whole pandemic

According update provided by the Ministry of Health this Monday night, Spain registers a cumulative incidence more than 1,000 (1,206 cases per 100,000 population in 14 days) for the first time in the entire pandemic.

Navarra (2,339) and La Rioja (2,145) are the communities with the highest incidence, with the Basque Country reaching 1,921 cases and another eight autonomies over a thousand.

In Spain, the group with the highest cumulative incidence is 20-29 years (2006), followed by 30-39 years (1648). The age group of children under 11 years also has a cumulative incidence of over a thousand (1,332). On the other hand, those over 80 years old registered the lowest value (295).

While the hospital pressure, the occupancy of the ICUs is 18.2%, while on the floor the percentage of beds occupied by covid is 7.7%. In addition, since December 23, communities have registered 200 deaths.

Delta and omicron variants
