Sergio Vez, player of the Spanish team, spoke to the media: “We really want to start. After three years without a Mixed World Cup due to COVID-19, we want to see how we feel on the ice and what this championship holds for us, which is always different. Our goal is to have a good group stage and qualify for the playoffs; We are eight teams and only three of our team have access. When we won silver in 2018 we didn’t think we were going to get it, but in this World Cup there are always options to go far since the level is very even among all the countries, so we are going to try to repeat that success and give it our all on the ice in each game”.
