Sooraj Pancholi on comeback with Kesari Veer, discusses career and past struggles

Sooraj Pancholi is back with a new film, ‘Kesari Veer’, and he’s finally feeling focused on his career. The veteran actor Aditya Pancholi’s son has been in the news lately due to his upcoming movie, which is set to release this month. In a recent conversation, Sooraj opened up about his career struggles and the challenges he faced after being accused of abetting the suicide of his ex-girlfriend, Jiya Khan.

Sooraj Pancholi on doing a film that earns him respect

Sooraj revealed that he was looking for a film that would give him the respect he deserves. “I was listening to many scripts, but I wanted to do a film that would earn me respect,” he said. “When you’re not appreciated for your work, it can be really disheartening. I wanted to do something that people would say, ‘Okay, maybe Sooraj is capable’.”

He added that he had been struggling to get back on track after the controversy surrounding Jiya Khan’s death. “I wanted to get my life back on track before I started working again. I sat down with my parents and told them that I needed to finish this one thing before I could move on. I’m glad I was able to do that.” ‘Kesari Veer’ is the first film he’s done with a clear and focused mind. “I’m just focusing on how to give a good performance,” he said.

Working with Athiya Shetty and Suniel Shetty

Sooraj made his debut with ‘Hero’ alongside Athiya Shetty. Now, he’s working with Athiya’s father, Suniel Shetty, in ‘Kesari Veer’. “Athiya worked with my father in ‘Hero’, and now I’m working with Suniel sir. It’s like everything is coming full circle. For me, there’s no better way to start again than with this film,” Sooraj said.

The film, directed by Prince Dhiman, is set to release on May 23. Sooraj will be seen alongside Suniel Shetty, Akanksha Sharma, and Vivek Oberoi. The movie promises to be an exciting comeback for Sooraj Pancholi.
