New episode of the series “Cyberpunk 2077 the launch of the console is a disaster”. Remember: after much criticism from PS4 and Xbox players, CD Projekt admitted that the game was not ready at launch. The Polish studio then promised to reimburse all players disappointed with Cyberpunk 2077 on the console.
Unfortunately, CD Projekt Red did not bother to consult Sony and Microsoft before launching empty promises. In fact, the players found themselves refuse refunds promised by the studio. In the face of growing discontent, Sony has finally made a drastic decision: remove Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice.
Sony promises to refund all Cyberpunk 2077 players
This Friday, December 18, 8 days after the game’s release, Sony announced the withdrawal of the Cyberpunk 2077 from your online store. “SIE (Editor’s note: Sony Interactive Entertainment) does everything possible to guarantee the satisfaction of all its customers, so we decided to offer a full refund to all players who bought Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store. SIE will also remove Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice”, Sony explains.
Until now, the decision to accept refunds was left to customer service. Thus, some players were able to quickly obtain a full refund. Others, fallen on a more zealous official, were unable to negotiate the return of the game. In the absence of exceptional instructions, some agents followed the usual PlayStation Store policy to the letter, which consists of declining the refund if “the download of digital content has already started”.
The Japanese giant therefore agreed to an exception to your usual policy. “As soon as we verify that you purchased Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation Store, we will begin the refund process.” says Sony. To submit a refund request, simply go to This page.
