Sometimes, hope arrives in the most unexpected ways, often carried by a kind heart. A video recently touched many people online. It showed an elderly farmer doing something truly heartbreaking to get his fields ready.
This farmer had no bullocks to pull his plow. He also couldn’t afford a tractor. So, the 70-year-old farmer, Ambadas Pawar, tied himself to the plow instead. He pulled it across his 2.5 acres of land in Hadolti village. This village is in the Latur district, part of the Marathwada region of Maharashtra. The video spread quickly, showing his struggle.
Bollywood actor Sonu Sood saw the video. He’s known for helping people in need. Sonu Sood quickly responded to the viral video. He wrote on social media, “Send your number, and we will send bullocks.” Someone then suggested sending a tractor instead. Sonu Sood, always practical, replied that this farmer didn’t know how to drive a tractor. He said, “So bullocks are better, friend.” It was a simple promise that brought a lot of relief.

Ambadas Pawar has been farming like this for a long time. He said he has been ploughing his land this way for ten years. He used to own bullocks. However, he sold them a decade ago because he could not take care of them properly. The video shows his wife also helping him, pulling the plow alongside him.
Ambadas Pawar shared his story after the video became popular. He mentioned that no one had contacted him for the past ten years. But after the video went viral, the Latur District Officer and even a state minister reached out to him. He also revealed he has a son who works in the city. However, his son does not help him with money or farm work. The farmer also has a debt of 40,000 rupees. He has asked the government to forgive this debt.

Sonu Sood has a history of stepping up during tough times. During the recent pandemic, he was a huge help to many people. He arranged ambulances, oxygen, and medicines for patients who needed them. He also helped countless stranded people return to their homes during the lockdown. His quick actions for Ambadas Pawar just add to his long list of good deeds.
