Sonakshi Sinha Contrasts Film Work Hours: South Indian Cinema More Disciplined

Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha recently praised the work culture in the South Indian film industry, highlighting its disciplined approach to production. She noted a significant difference in work-life balance compared to the Hindi film industry.

Sinha specifically pointed out the organized nature of South Indian sets. She observed that shoots typically adhere to strict hours, with work generally concluding by 6 PM if it begins at 9 AM. She described this as a “very good” and “more disciplined” system.

The actress is currently making her debut in the Telugu film industry with her upcoming project, ‘Jatadhara.’ She will star alongside actor Sudheer Babu in a role she has described as “frightening.”

Sinha expressed her openness to working in more films across various languages. She stated that language is no longer a barrier for her, having previously acted in the Tamil film ‘Lingaa.’ Her prior commitments in Hindi cinema had prevented her from taking on more regional offers.

She also shared her approach to filmmaking, emphasizing her trust in the director’s vision. Sinha collaborates to fulfill their creative direction, offering input only when she feels it is necessary.

‘Jatadhara’ is scheduled for release on November 7, 2025. The film will be available in both Hindi and Telugu.

The cast also includes Divya Khosla, Shilpa Shirodkar, Indira Krishna, Ravi Prakash, Naveen Neni, and Rohit Pathak. Zee Studios and Prerna Arora are producing the film, with Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal serving as co-directors.
