Singer Sona Mohapatra has given her reaction on the performance outside the Mahakal temple involving Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Sona reacted to a video of people protesting before the Brahmastra movie via Twitter. Singer wrote on Twitter: “This is so wrong #India. Let’s not get into ochlocracy; #street law. A sick and dangerous precedent to set and not heroic by any remote means.”
Amid the uproar, the police managed to save the ‘Brahmastra’ team. As Ranbir and Alia returned from the temple without seeing each other, Principal Ayan attended the Mahakaleshwar aarti. The team was at the temple to seek blessings before the release of Brahmastra on September 9.

The incident took place outside the Mahakal temple, where the celebrity couple and the director were forced to return after a rampage outside the temple premises in Madhya Pradesh. Many Bajrang Dal workers closed the door on Ranbir’s statement ‘I am a meat man’ in an earlier interview. After the protest, Sona shared a viral video showing people carrying black flags.
On Wednesday, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra said no one stopped Ranbir and Alia from going to the temple. He said: “I have spoken with the administration. He told me that arrangements have been made for his arrival. But he decided not to continue. Whatever the theme of the opposition, it is a different theme. He was not prevented from darshan. Those who were with him entered the temple. Also, an artist should not use words that hurt people’s feelings.”
While promoting Imtiaz Ali’s movie ‘Rockstar’ in 2011, Ranbir said that he loves to eat beef. He said: “My family is from Peshawar, so a lot of Peshawari food has come with them. I’m a fan of lamb, paya and beef. Yes, I’m a big fan of beef.” Before the release of Brahmastra, the old video has resurfaced online.
