The Solana Foundation announced yesterday that the Solana (SOL) network is now a ChatGPT plugin has. With this artificial intelligence (AI), or artificial intelligence, tool, the Solana network should be easier to use, making the crypto network accessible to a larger group of users.
ChatGPT integration increases ease of use
The open-source code can be found at Github. The plugin can assist users in everyday activities on the Solana blockchain such as trading tokens, buying non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and make use of decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. These types of processes can be overwhelming for newcomers. The AI can assist them throughout the process. Anatoly Yakovenko, CEO and co-founder of Solana Labs, emphasized that AI would make the Solana blockchain more usable and understandable. The Ukrainian added:
“Every developer building consumer-facing apps should think about how their app will be used through an AI model”
Solana is investing heavily in AI
Solana is not just limited to the ChatGPT plugin and is working hard to add other AI innovations to the project. The network has increased its grant program for AI projects on the blockchain, increasing the total amount from $1 million to $10 million. With this increase, the program has already received 50 applications. In addition, they have one accelerator three-month program for university students, hundreds of applications have been received. Here too, the focus is on blockchain and AI, and this has already led to the development of a tangible result, namely the “ask Solana U” chatbot.
Update: The fund supporting projects at the intersection of the @Solana blockchain and AI has been expanded to $10 million.

AI developments are moving fast
It was only a few months ago that ChatGPT became known to the general public. In just two months, this AI project reached 100 million users. In addition to AI language models such as ChatGPT, there are also emerging models such as DALL·E and Midjourney, which can generate photo-realistic images, artwork and even videos based on textual input. Developments regarding AI are moving at a rapid pace and this causes both excitement and great concern about the impact.
