The Snapchat social network is the victim of a global blackout. The #SnapchatDown hashtag is exploding on Twitter with over 23,000 tweets and their number continues to grow. Since 12:30 pm, it is impossible to update your stories and send messages.

Indeed, the social network “of drugs” according to the Ministry of the Interior is a victim of a worldwide blackout since 12:30 p.m.. It has become impossible to update your stories or send messages on the application.
The complaints are starting to multiply on Twitter, proof of this is more than 26,000 tweets with the hashtag #SnapchatDown have been published on the social network and the counter continues to rise for the moment. The finding is the same on DownDetector where more and more reports have been made since the start of the damage (more than 7,000 reports at 3 p.m.).

Snapchat is down all over the world
“The Snapchat app has been affected by a global outage since around 12:30 p.m. It is no longer possible for users to update their stories or send messages. More than 20,000 tweets have already been listed under the #Snapchatdown ”, wrote HugoDécrypte on Twitter. Obviously, Internet users have no other choice than to take this umpteenth breakdown with humor. It must be said that the problems have been linked in recent weeks between the massive outage that affected Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp last week, or the outage that affected the OVH host this Wednesday, October 13, 2021.
For now, the origins of this failure remain unknown. Nonetheless, Snapchat teams are aware of the issues that users are experiencing. They just posted a message on Twitter around 2 p.m. to reassure all users: “We are aware that some Snapchatters are having trouble using the app right now – hang in there, we’ll take care of it ”.
