Six soldiers injured in an ELN attack in northeastern Colombia

Six soldiers have been injured in a guerrilla attack of the National Liberation Army (ELN) perpetrated in the village of Vetas, in the municipality of TibĂș, department of Norte de Santander, near the border with Venezuela.

The six soldiers participated in the Democracy Plan, the special security device for the second round of presidential elections held this Sunday, reports Colombian public television RTVC.

The Army has indicated that the six soldiers have been evacuated immediately by air to a medical center in CĂșcuta, where at this time they receive specialized medical care.

Is tomorrow a soldier died identified as Erick Enrique Estrada in an attack attributed to the guerrilla of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) in the village of Campo Hermoso in the municipality of San Vicente del CaguĂĄn, CaquetĂĄ.
