South Indian actor Rana Daggubati appeared at the Special Investigation Team (SIT) office in Hyderabad, Telangana, on Saturday. He was called for questioning concerning an ongoing investigation into illegal betting applications.
Daggubati has been embroiled in this case for some time. Media outlets attempted to speak with the actor upon his arrival, but he declined to comment and proceeded directly into the SIT office. He was observed carrying a paper in his hand.

This is not Daggubati’s first interaction with authorities regarding the matter. He was seen at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office a few months prior for questioning related to the same illegal betting app case.
The investigation extends beyond Daggubati, involving several other prominent South Indian actors. Among those implicated are Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakonda, and Lakshmi Manchu.
The case centers on online betting applications that allegedly raised funds through illicit means. Sources indicate that billions of rupees in illegal money were generated through betting and gambling on these platforms.
The celebrities involved have maintained their innocence. They claim to have been unaware of the products or operational methods of these betting apps. They further deny any connection to wrongful activities associated with the platforms.
