For Robyn Brown, a new address means a new outlook. The Sister Wives star recently shared her feelings about leaving her old Flagstaff, Arizona, home behind. She said this move feels like a fresh start. On the Sunday, October 12, episode of the TLC series, Robyn, 47, expressed her excitement. "The new home for me is like a new beginning," she noted, adding, "I see a lot of future there, which is really cool."
Saying Goodbye to a House of Heartbreak
Robyn and her husband, Kody Brown, 56, decided to stay in Arizona. However, they both agreed that selling their previous house was important. It was a place where their family dynamic crumbled. For them, moving on meant a chance to "start anew" with their closest family unit. Robyn revealed the deep emotional toll that house took on her. "I was in a deep, deep depression in this house while the separations were happening, while the divorces were happening," she confessed. She was referring to Kody’s three other wives, Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown, who all parted ways with him within three years. She added, "Every separation happened when… we were living in this [house]."
Christine, 53, was the first to announce her split from Kody in November 2021. Their marriage had lasted over 25 years. Janelle, 56, confirmed her separation from Kody in December 2022. They had been together for almost 30 years in their spiritual marriage. Meri, 54, and Kody issued a joint statement in January 2023. They confirmed their separation after more than three decades. Through all these changes, Robyn has remained committed to Kody. They have even faced their own challenges adjusting to being a monogamous couple.

Kody’s Own Painful Memories
Kody echoed Robyn’s sentiments about the old house holding bad energy. He reflected on a string of misfortunes tied to it. "This house lived a series of sad events," he recounted. "First, I start to separate from my family, I get COVID, and Christine leaves." He also recalled "a pretty unpleasant Christmas" and one they "didn’t even get to celebrate together." Kody lamented it was "one thing after another." The list of sorrows sadly grew to include the devastating news of his son Garrison’s death. Garrison, Janelle’s son, passed away by suicide in March 2024 at 25 years old. "This place has pain," Kody stated, pointing to the house and adding, "Here is where my heart broke." He made it clear, "We want a new beginning, something different, something new."
Even Christine, who had moved on, understood the weight of the house. She mentioned finding out about the sale "from a stranger online." Still, she wished them well. "Kody probably has a lot of difficult memories in that house," she explained. "Three wives left him while he lived there." Christine concluded, "I think it’s a good idea for him to move. Move on and finish with that. Close that door and start another chapter, a completely different life with Robyn."
The New Chapter: A House and Land Sold
Kody and Robyn share two biological children: Solomon, 13, and Ariella, 9. Kody also acts as stepfather to Robyn’s three older children from her first marriage: Dayton, 25, Aurora, 23, and Breanna, 21.
Their former Flagstaff home, a five-bedroom, four-bathroom house, hit the market in April 2024 for $1.65 million. According to the recent Sister Wives episode, it sold quickly. The family soon moved into their new home nearby. Robyn hopes this new space will help them heal. "We will leave behind a lot of pain and difficult memories," she shared on the show. "I also think the space itself will be really very suitable for some of the things we want to do with our future."
The property sales didn’t stop there. About a year after their house move, Kody, Robyn, Meri, and Janelle also sold their Coyote Pass property in Arizona for $1.5 million. This 14-acre land was bought by the Browns in 2018. It became a source of much conflict after Kody’s wives started leaving him. Christine was the only one of Kody’s ex-wives who didn’t get any money from the Coyote Pass sale. She had given her shares to Kody and Robyn when she left him in 2021. However, Christine did keep the money from selling her own Arizona house. She then moved to Utah and married David Woolley in October 2023.
