He has even already found the recording studios, he confided to our colleagues, explaining to them: “I sing. I’ve been in the studio for ten days, I’m preparing a cover album ”.
Thirteen tribute titles
This album, which he has already been thinking about for a long time, he confides, will take a dive into the repertoire of French song: “thirteen old French songs” which marked him, he explains, citing Yves Montand, Jean Ferrat, Moustaki , Reggiani, Françoise Hardy. And the project seems well advanced. “There are still the voices and the violins to be done. It will be released in February, when there is no more competition. And it will hurt! “, Assures the interpreter of” Morgane de toi “, who on the other hand does not plan to play it on stage explaining to be” retired “and want to do” a minimum of promotion “.
For the time being, he is at work between Paris and Vaucluse. He also binds himself to a more strict lifestyle and heals his voice. “I eliminated the cigarette, I went from sixty a day to fifteen. I am addicted to vaping. And I quit alcohol for good six months. I am a new man, ”says the artist, who will celebrate his 70th birthday next May.
