Athletes Manuel Simó García and Luis Alberto Moquete will take part in the Cadet and Junior Judo Pan American Cup to be held this weekend in Panama.
Moquete will compete this Saturday in the minus 60 kilos category, while Simó García is scheduled to take the mat in the minus 60 kilos weight class on Sunday.
The two athletes, who made the trip with the support of the Ministry of Sports, are accompanied by coach Juan Carlos Jacinto.
The information was released by the Dominican Judo Federation (Fedojudo).
The Barahona Judo Association will celebrate this Saturday the fourth version of the 2023 Miguel Caro Judo Cup at the Palacio de los Deportes Villa Central, in that southern province.
The tournament, organized by the Barahona Judo Association and the Albida Marina Santana Acosta club of that discipline, is dedicated to the Central Sugar Consortium (CAC) and will have the participation of athletes from 15 associations of that discipline.
The competitions will begin at 9:00 in the morning, while the official opening ceremony is scheduled for 10:00, according to the organizers.
