Silent Hill f Banned in Australia Due to Graphic Content

Silent Hill f, the latest installment in the iconic survival horror series, has been making waves since its trailer dropped. Now, it’s hitting headlines again – this time for being banned in Australia.

The game received an “RC” rating, which means it’s been refused classification by the Australian government. Essentially, that’s a ban. While the reason isn’t publicly disclosed, it’s likely due to the game’s intense content.

The ESRB, which rated it Mature 17+, already warned about its graphic violence, gore, and disturbing scenes that might unsettle some players. Konami also posted a warning on Steam, mentioning that the game contains bullying, sexual discrimination, and child abuse themes.

Silent Hill f isn’t the only game to get banned in Australia recently. Another upcoming game, Hunter x Hunter, also got the same treatment. In the past, games that were initially banned had to be modified and resubmitted for review to be sold in the country.

This ban might actually pique more interest in Silent Hill f, leaving fans wondering just how intense it is. We’ll have to wait for more updates. The game is set to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, though no launch date has been announced yet.
