Sierra takes revenge on Mavi García in the Tres Valles Varesinos

The Cuban Arlenis Sierra (AR Monex) has won the First Women’s Edition of the Tres Valles Varesinos, event disputed over 92.4 km between the towns of Busto Arsizio and Varese, in which he qualified second the Spanish Mavi García (Alé BTC Ljubljana).

Arlenis Sierra (Manzanillo, 28 years old) was the fastest in a highly contested finish in which she was able to win the pulse against Mavi García and 39-year-old Australian veteran Rachel Neylan (Parkhotel Valkenburg), second and third respectively.

The Cuban runner has already warned about her possibilities in the elite of world cycling with second place in the recent Giro de Emilia and before with triumphs in the Tour de L’Ardéche, 2 stages of the Giro de Toscana and in the GP of Navarra.

Mavi García, 37, could not reissue the first place on Saturday last in the Giro de Emilia, where he prevailed precisely against Arlenis Sierra.

The Cuban opens in this way the record of a new event on the Italian and international calendar.
