Shubman Gill has no desire to play Test cricket, now questions are being raised about his options.

Shubman Gill seems to constantly fail in Test cricket. Gill is constantly presented with opportunities but is unable to take advantage of them. If you look at Gill's last 10 Test innings, the question that immediately comes to mind is: why is he being given consecutive chances? In the last 10 Test innings, Gill has not scored even a half-century.

Today, Gill appeared to be a flop in the first innings of the first game of the five-match Test series against England. Previously, including during the South Africa tour, Gill had shown problems in the Test. In the last 10 innings, Gill was able to surpass the 30-run mark only once. Now the question arises: How long will “Flop Gill” continue to have such opportunities?

Aside from overseas, Gill also seems to be failing at home. Before the Test series against England, India played two Tests on the South Africa tour. In the 4 innings of the two games against Africa, Gill scored 2, 26, 36 and 10 runs respectively. Afterwards, Gill was eliminated in the first innings of the first match against England after scoring just 23 runs.

India has to play a five-match Test series against England. BCCI had announced Team India only for the first two Tests. In such a situation, the question now becomes whether Gill will be left out of the team for the last three games? So Gill can answer this himself, and how? Now, if Gill performs well in the second innings of the first game and the second Test, he will be selected for the final three games. If he doesn't perform well, Gill can also be ruled out of the final Test. Now it will be interesting to see Gill's performance and the voters' decision.
