Shubman Gill gets the final warning, Cheteshwar Pujara is in line

IND Vs ENG: Former Team India coach Ravi Shastri has warned star batsman Shubman Gill who constantly flops in Test cricket. Ravi Shastri has made it clear that Shubman Gill will definitely be left out of the Test team if his performance does not improve. Ravi Shastri is disappointed that Shubman Gill is not playing a long innings despite a good start. Shastri has warned Shubman that Cheteshwar Pujara is ready to replace him in the team.

Shubman Gill has not been able to play big innings in the last 6 Test matches. Shubman Gill got off to a good start in the first innings of the second Test against England. But Gill returned to the pavilion after scoring 34 runs. During his commentary during the match, Ravi Shastri said that a player like Shubman Gill has to prove himself to secure a place in the team.

Ravi Shastri also reminded the young players about Cheteshwar Pujara. The former coach said: “This is a new team. Most of the players are young. But these young players have to prove themselves. One must remember that Pujara is ready to take his place in the team again. Pujara is consistently scoring points in the Ranji Trophy.”
