A fresh face is joining the much-talked-about film ‘Haiwaan.’ Actress Shreya Pilgaonkar has officially come on board. She will star alongside big names Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in this new thriller.
Director Priyadarshan, known for his distinctive touch, is bringing this new thriller to life. ‘Haiwaan’ is actually a remake of a hit Malayalam movie from 2016 called ‘Oppam.’ That film famously starred Mohanlal in the lead role.
Shreya Pilgaonkar is set to start filming her scenes very soon. The production for ‘Haiwaan’ has already begun in Kochi on August 23, 2025. Photos of Akshay and Saif from the set, captured laughing and chatting, have already spread online.
A Long-Awaited Reunion
Fans will be excited to see Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan together after 17 long years. Their last film together was ‘Tashan,’ which also featured Kareena Kapoor Khan and Anil Kapoor. This reunion is a major highlight for ‘Haiwaan,’ bringing back a popular screen pairing.
The story for ‘Haiwaan’ was written by Rohan Shankar. He is well-known for writing successful films like ‘Sayyaara.’ Veteran actor Boman Irani also has an important role in the movie. There’s even talk that Akshay might play the villain, which would be a fresh twist for his fans.
KVN Productions is behind ‘Haiwaan.’ This production house is also making ‘Toxic,’ a film starring Yash. This project marks the third time Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan have teamed up. Their previous collaborations include the highly anticipated ‘Hera Pheri 3’ and ‘Bhoot Bangla.’
