In the official accounts of the film and Universal Pictures, the official teaser for Shrek 5 was shared, giving fans a first look at what’s to come. What caught the most attention, aside from the change in animation claimed by several fans, was Zendaya’s participation – though the character she’ll be playing is still unknown.
The film will feature the voices of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz, the actors who have been part of the saga from the beginning. As for Antonio Banderas, who announced the fifth installment of Shrek in 2022, it’s likely he’ll be present, considering the ending of The Cat with Boots: The Last Desire.
When does Shrek 5 premiere?
The plot of the new Shrek movie is currently unknown, but the teaser suggests it develops narratively a few years after the fourth installment of the saga, Shrek Forever.
