Shop for different items in the store, pay onions instead of money

Visit a Japanese retail store in the Philippines and purchase selected items from the store.

A store in the Philippines started a campaign to collect onions for a day for a food bank project. For this campaign, onions instead of money were accepted as payment for the purchase of selected items from the store.

A branch of Japan Home Suntrastore in the Philippines accepts an onion from customers in exchange for an item of their choice. The management of this store says that each customer has a purchase limit of only three items. All collected onions will be used in the food bank. Onions of any type and size are acceptable, the store said in a social media post.

According to the foreign agency, citing the customer, the proceeds from the onion will be used for the Community Food Bank project, which aims to be fun as well as philanthropic.
