Three people were killed and four were injured in a shooting in the American city of Los Angeles.
According to the police, the assailant opened fire on the occupants of the vehicle, as a result of which three persons were killed. The condition of two persons injured in the attack is critical and the condition of two others is out of danger. The incident took place at 2.30 pm in the Beverly Crest area.
No statement was immediately released regarding the identity of the victims in the attack. The victims were returning from a function. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has not released a statement or description of the attacker.
Earlier, eleven people were killed in a shooting incident in a dance hall on January 21, while seven people were killed two days ago.
It is also worth mentioning here that this is the sixth major shooting incident in California this month.
According to the Gun Violence Archive, 2022 marks the third year in a row that the U.S. recorded more than 600 mass shootings in which at least four people were killed or injured.
