Her case was filed by advocate Sana Raees Khan. Khan stated Shetty has built her reputation over decades of work.

“No one can adopt her name or image for commercial gain without consent,” Khan emphasized. She added that unauthorized use of Shetty’s identity attacks her honor and hard-earned reputation.

Khan confirmed the legal team approached the Bombay High Court to stop this misuse. This action highlights a growing concern among public figures.

Shetty is not alone in seeking such legal protection. Several other prominent artists have also approached the courts.

This list includes Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, Rishab Shetty, Jaya Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, and Akkineni Nagarjuna. They all seek to safeguard their personality rights.

The Bombay High Court recently issued a significant order. It prohibits the commercial use of artists’ names, images, and voices without their explicit permission.

Beyond her legal battles, Shetty continues her film career. She was last seen in the 2023 film ‘Sukhee’.

Her next appearance will be in the Kannada film ‘KD: The Devil’. She will co-star with Sanjay Dutt in the upcoming project.
