The EOW also spoke with Rajendra Bhutada, the resolution professional linked to the company. Bhutada, called as a witness, told officials he noted many financial irregularities. These issues were then shared with the investigating agency.
Raj Kundra, during his questioning, made some interesting claims. He said a portion of the funds went to several Bollywood celebrities. Names like Bipasha Basu, Neha Dhupia, and Ekta Kapoor were mentioned. He stated these payments were for professional fees. However, these claims are still unconfirmed. Authorities are now working to figure out if these payments truly related to the investment deal or if they were just an excuse.
The EOW team pressed Shilpa Shetty on several key points. They asked about her specific role within the company. Her involvement in investment decisions also came up. Crucially, they questioned her about her signatures on financial documents.
