The performance of the Indian cricket team in ODIs is continuously falling. At present, the India team is playing a three match ODI series against Bangladesh. In this series, Bangladesh has achieved an unbeatable 2-0 lead over the Indian team. Actually, the reason for the poor performance of the Indian team is the poor form of the top 3 batsmen of the team, Captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan. Actually, for the last three years, the bat of these three batsmen has not been able to do much in ODIs.
Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan, experienced top-3 hitters and stars for the Indian team, have not played much in the last three years. From the year 2020 till now, Rohit Sharma has scored 510 runs in ODIs. During this, he has only been able to score 1 century. Apart from Rohit, Shikhar Dhawan has scored 1272 runs in ODI since the year 2020. Not a single century has come out of the bat from him though. A big concern for the team in ODI is the failure of veteran batsman Virat Kohli. Virat has scored 749 runs since the year 2020. He has also not been able to score a single century.
The poor form of these Team India star batsmen is also raising concern for the team. Due to this, the team’s performance is continuously dropping even in ODI.
On the other hand, the bats of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan have performed well from 2010 to 2020. During this, captain Rohit Sharma scored 8249 runs at an average of 53.66. While Shikhar Dhawan has scored 5518 runs at an average of 44.50. Legendary Indian batsman Virat Kohli has scored 11,125 runs at an average of 60.79.
