Shikhar Dhawan is counted among the successful opening batsmen in Indian cricket. So far his record in ICC events has been impressive. Dhawan has handled the captaincy of the India team during the limited series of overs played on tour of Sri Lanka in the year 2021. Those players are expected to get a shot at the Asian Games-going side, who fared better in season 16 of IPL.
