Shikhar Dhawan Instagram Post: Indian team’s star batsman Shikhar Dhawan is leaving Team India. He has been struggling with difficulties in his personal life for some time now. He is divorced from his wife Ayesha. Dhawan’s son Zoravar lives in Australia with his wife. The court had not made a decision on the son’s custody but had also said that Dhawan could meet the son in India and Australia and speak to him via video calls. But now this doesn’t seem to be the case. Dhawan said a big thing on his son Zoravar’s birthday.

Shikhar Dhawan became emotional

Shikhar Dhawan posted on Instagram and wrote that it has been a year since I last saw you. I’ve been blocked from everywhere for almost three months. To wish you a happy birthday, son, I am posting the same old picture. Even though I cannot connect with you directly, I still connect with you via telepathy. I’m proud of you. I know you are well and growing well.

Dad always thinks of you and loves you. He is always positive, smiling and waiting for the time when we will meet again by the grace of God. Be bold but not destructive, be polite, kind, patient and strong.

Married in 2012

Shikhar Dhawan married Ayesha Mukherjee, who was 10 years older than him, in 2012. Ayesha is an Australian citizen and is already divorced. She was married to an Australian businessman. He has two daughters, Alia and Riya, from his first marriage. Dhawan’s family members were against her marriage but later gave their consent.

Team India expires

Shikhar Dhawan played his last game for India in 2022. He has not been part of Team India since then. He has played cricket for Team India in all three formats. Dhawan has played 34 Tests, 167 ODIs and 68 T20 matches for India. Across all three formats, he has a total of 24 centuries to his name.
