SHIB BPP, a prominent member of the Shiba Inu community, recently broke the news about the upcoming upgrade to ShibaSwap 2.0. He shared that the enhanced version, which will include a refreshed design and a full-fledged crypto site, is currently under development. The exact launch date has not yet been announced.
The First Steps of ShibaSwap
The original ShibaSwap platform, a decentralized exchange first launched in July 2021, allows users to trade and stake tokens from the Shiba Inu ecosystem, such as SHIB, BONE, and LEASH. The exchange quickly gained popularity and reached a Total Value Locked (TVL) of a whopping $1 billion within 24 hours of its launch.
SHIB BPP also shared that the well-known security company CertiK will be tasked with conducting a security audit on the platform before it is presented to the public.
Back in April, Shiba Inu leader Shytoshi Kusama hinted that ShibaSwap 2.0 was on the way, but without offering a specific timeline.
