Shiba Inu (SHIB), possibly the world’s most famous meme coin, Ripple (XRP), one of the oldest cryptocurrencies that facilitates cross-border payments, and Avalanche (AVAX) can now be used as a payment method at more than 60 million stores worldwide.

An announcement from Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world by volume, reveals that these three coins have been added to the Binance Card. This is a kind of bank card with which you can pay for your purchases by means of your crypto in your wallet.
The addition of Shiba Inu comes as no surprise as the coin has become extremely popular in recent years. The project is wildly popular across many different platforms.
14 cryptocurrencies can be used
For the time being, the map can only be used by residents of the European Economic Area. Refugees from Ukraine living in the EEA will also have access to the card and its most recent additions.
With the addition of SHIB, XRP and AVAX, there are now a total of 14 cryptocurrencies available for the Binance Card. The others are Cardano (ADA), Binance Coin (BNB), Bitcoin (BTC), Binance USD (BUSD), Polkadot (DOT), Tether (USDT), Ethereum (ETH), SS Lazio Fan Token (LAZIO), Santos FC Fan Token (SANTOS), FC Porto Fan Token (PORTO) and SXP.
Shiba Inu is starting to get serious
Although SHIB once started as a meme coin, we can no longer ignore the fact that the project is starting to take shape. Shiba Inu even saw its users rise over the past few months, despite the bear market we are in. At the moment there are still 1.2 million Ethereum addresses that own SHIB.
In addition, SHIB initially had no underlying project, but now there is an entire SHIB ecosystem. They are now even developing their own metaverse for which plots of land are sold. Not a crazy choice from Binance.
