Shevchenko Knocks Out Tal Ben Haim in Chelsea Training Session

I still remember the stories about Andriy Shevchenko’s time at Chelsea. One incident that stands out is a training session where he clashed with Tal Ben Haim. Shevchenko came out on top.

Ben Haim was known for being tough on the field. He loved to dive into tackles. But one day, he took on the wrong guy – Shevchenko. I was there, and I can tell you, Shevchenko could handle himself.

What Happened

Ben Haim liked to throw his weight around. There were a few clashes between him and Shevchenko. Shevchenko warned him to back off, but Ben Haim didn’t listen.

Next thing you know, Ben Haim comes in with another hard tackle. That’s when things heated up. They started staring each other down, and then Shevchenko threw a combination of punches – a right hook, a left, and another right. It was over. Ben Haim didn’t bother him again.

After that, the two of them just went back to training like nothing happened. Ben Haim had to swallow his pride and move on. He never stuck his neck out again.

Shevchenko played for Chelsea from 2006 to 2009. He won an FA Cup with the team. Before that, he made a name for himself at AC Milan, where he won a bunch of trophies, including the Champions League in 2004.

Career Highlights

  • FA Cup winner with Chelsea
  • Champions League winner with AC Milan
  • Serie A winner with AC Milan
  • Coppa Italia winner with AC Milan

It’s funny, looking back on it now. Shevchenko was a talented player, and he could clearly handle himself off the field too. Ben Haim, on the other hand, learned his lesson the hard way.
