Zaporizhzhia, the largest Ukrainian nuclear plant in Europe, is under attack once again, with the UN Secretary General calling for an immediate end to military activity around the nuclear plant.
A pro-Moscow official said Ukrainian rockets fell near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, while Kyiv’s state energy company blamed Russian forces.
This is not the first time that this nuclear plant has been attacked, a few days ago this plant was also under attack.
The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) expressed serious concerns about the shelling of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear facility.
President Zelensky called for a strong international response to Russian “nuclear terrorism” following the shelling of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.
On the other hand, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has demanded an immediate end to military activities near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine.
In a statement, he said, “I am calling on the military forces of the Russian Federation and Ukraine to immediately cease all military activities in the vicinity of the plant and not to target its facilities or surroundings.”
