Actress Shefali Shah recently revealed her favorite performer, singling out Jaideep Ahlawat for his talent. She expressed immense joy at his career progression and success. Shah also highlighted the transformative role of streaming platforms for actors like Ahlawat.
Speaking at the seventh edition of the Dehradun Literature Festival, Shah praised Ahlawat. She noted the significant impact of Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms on actors’ careers.
Shah stated, “He is very good. OTT has changed our lives. We were all considered talented, but what place would we have in those big commercial films? So, when I see his progress, I am very happy.”
She recalled feeling immense pride upon seeing an Amul advertisement featuring Ahlawat when ‘Paatal Lok 2’ was released. Shah emphasized that Ahlawat deserves all the accolades he receives. His rise, she suggested, marks a notable shift within the film industry.
Shah and Ahlawat shared the screen in the 2022 film ‘Three of Us’. Directed by Avinash Arun, the movie garnered a 7.5 out of 10 rating on IMDb.
Shah also spoke about her foray into writing, mentioning a book she has completed. She is currently exploring publication opportunities. She encouraged the audience to embrace reading, stating it offers more inspiration than travel.
