During the third match of the ongoing Test series between England and New Zealand at Headingley, many viewers were upset after seeing Shane Warne’s announcement. The former Australian cricket great died of a suspected heart attack in March this year at the age of 52, leaving fans and celebrities around the world in mourning.

Fans were sad to see Shane Warne in the ad.

Amidst all this sadness and grief, the spinning icon was featured on Sky Sports in an Advanced Hair Studio advert on day two of the ongoing test match between England and New Zealand. The station has now removed the ad from its schedule, but by then the feelings of many had been hurt. Many fans called it ‘absurd’ and many called it ‘shocking’

One fan said: “Do you really think it was appropriate to feature the late Shane Warne in an ad during a test match? I found this to spoil the flavor.”

Another fan tweeted: “Am I the only person who hates the late Shane Warne being used in a TV commercial for @AdvHairStudio?”

Another fan responded: “They’re not using any Graham Gooch recordings from 20 years ago, they’re using the late great Warne’s old backing up to now. This is weird.”

During the first Test at Lord’s, players queued up after the 23rd to pay tribute to the legendary roulette wheel in front of thousands of spectators. Shane Warne used to wear the number 23 jersey on the field.
