Goofy was born on October 4, 1944 to a Sikh family in Punjab. Later his family had gone to live in Delhi. His brother Kanwarjeet Paintal was also a good actor. Goofy died at 9 a.m. Monday. He was battling age related ailments. Goofy, who has been hospitalized for the past 10 days, was undergoing treatment in the ICU. Although there were reports of improvement in his health during the last 2 days. The last rites for him will be performed at the Oshiwara crematorium around 4 pm today.
