Shahid Afridi received corona before PSL start, went into isolation after getting infected

Former Pakistani all-rounder and captain Shahid Afridi has been found to be corona positive. He represents the Quetta Gladiators in this year’s Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Shahid Afridi has isolated himself following PCB protocol, and will now join the team only after the negative report arrives. Afridi will miss the opening games for the Quetta Gladiators and will join the team for the game against Lahore.

Afridi has left the PSL Season 7 bio bubble due to health and personal issues. Afridi said he has come out of the biobubble and will complete the required three-day quarantine period, after which he will join the Quetta team.

Sources told Geo News that Shahid Afridi had asked the franchise management to forgive him for withdrawing from Bio-Bubble due to health and personal issues. Sources said Afridi told management that he suffers from back pain and that a relative of his wife has died. We tell you that this year’s PSL, which kicks off on Friday at the National Stadium in Karachi, will be Afridi’s last tournament.
