The second match of the three-match Test series between Pakistan and Australia began today (December 26). In this match, played in Melbourne, Pakistan once again fell short due to their poor fielding. Right from the start of the game, Pakistan had a chance to put pressure on Australia but Abdullah Shafiq instead put pressure on his team by taking a simple catch.
In the Boxing Day Test, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. Here Pakistan got a golden chance in the third over of the game. David Warner was almost out on the last ball of that over from Shaheen Afridi but his simple catch was denied. Here, left-arm fast bowler Shaheen swung the last ball of the over at a tremendous angle. Warner completely failed to read this ball and the ball hit the edge of his bat and went straight to Abdullah Shafiq who was standing in the slips.
Here Shafiq simply had to hold the ball in his hands without any effort, but he couldn’t even manage this simple task. He dropped that hook. At this point, David Warner only had two runs and Australia only had six runs on the scoreboard. If the Pak team had had early success here, it could have put the Kangaroo team under pressure.

After missing that catch, Warner and Usman Khawaja added 90 runs for the first wicket. Here Warner was eliminated after scoring 38 runs. Overall, Pakistan had to pay a heavy price for this poor display.
The Pakistan team had badly lost the first game of this three-match Test series. If he wants to win the series, he has to win in Melbourne at all costs. We tell you that the Pakistan team has not been able to win a single Test in Australia in the last 28 years. To date he has not won a single series here.
