Betis, fueled by William Carvalho, made history by reaching their first European final. But it ended in disappointment, losing 1-4 to Chelsea in the UEFA Conference League final. They had been ahead at one point.
On social media, Sevilla took a jab at their rivals. They congratulated Enzo Maresca, Chelsea’s coach, who played for the Andalusian club.
Sevilla’s Message
“Congratulations to our beloved Enzo Maresca on his first European title as a coach,” Sevilla wrote.
As a player, Enzo Maresca won several titles with Sevilla between 2005 and 2009. He took home a European Super Cup and two UEFA Cups.
