Sevilla accelerates the farewell to Rafa Mir

Rafa Mir's possible departure to Serie A is taking shape and progressing steadily. The Murcia striker appears to have finally been convinced to accept the offer from Torino, a club that has shown clear interest in his services and is in full negotiations with Sevilla to complete the player's exit. Rafa Mir, who failed to impress Quique Sánchez Flores, could free up a valuable chip that Sevilla could use to strengthen their squad.

Rafa Mir initially hoped to return to his former club Valencia, but talks are not going as expected. He previously turned down a loan offer to German club Wolfsburg, but now seems determined to make a change of scenery. This could be linked to the emergence of Isaac Romero in Sevilla's attack and the possible return of En-Nesyri, although the latter is still taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Both Rafa Mir and Sevilla and their fans believe it is time to close the loop and look to the future. This is reflected in the statements of coach Quique Sánchez Flores, who made clear his desire to have players who defend Sevilla's shield with passion.

Transfer until the end of the season

As “MundoDeportivo” reports, talks between Sevilla and Turin indicate a loan contract until the end of the season, including a purchase option. Rafa Mir is currently still on the team's expedition to the cup tie in Madrid, but his permanent departure could happen at any time. This option could well be considered by the player, since in six months he would return to Sevilla to look for another market that satisfies him more, for example to Valencia, since the club could have money in the summer to take him permanently to oblige.

Sevilla, on the other hand, are desperately trying to free up chips that could be used for new reinforcements or for newly arrived players such as Agoumé and Hannibal Mejbri to be part of the first team. In addition to Rafa Mir, the club also wants to sign other players such as Januzaj, Joan Jordán and Gattoni before the transfer market closes.
