Serial killer convicted of murdering teenage boy 50 years later

Nearly half a century after the events, a man was convicted last Wednesday of the murder of a 17-year-old girl in the state of Oregon, United States. According to CBS News, it was DNA that allowed investigators to make the connection. The suspect, Warren Forrest, is in fact a serial killer involved in the deaths of nine young women.

The remains of young Martha Morrison’s body were discovered by Clark County hunters in October 1974. But it wasn’t until 2015 that they could be identified, when the victim’s blood was found on the butt of a dart gun belonging to Warren Forrest.

After having spent forty years in prison, the man is now suspected of being involved in nine disappearances that occurred between 1971 and 1974.

“It’s not just about the murder of Martha, but about us who have had to deal with this situation for years and years. It was hard, ”testified the brother of Martha Morrison. Regarding the sentence, the verdict will be rendered on February 17.
