Serena Williams, one of tennis’s most celebrated athletes, has fueled speculation of a dramatic return to professional play after being re-added to the anti-doping test list.
Her inclusion in the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) Registered Testing Pool is a mandatory step for any player aiming to compete at the highest level. This development could make her eligible to return to the professional tour within six months.

The 44-year-old former world No. 1 retired after the 2021 US Open. She holds the Open Era record with 23 Grand Slam singles titles.
Further fanning the rumors of a comeback, Williams has reportedly lost 14 kilograms (approximately 31 pounds).
