He dismissed speculation that he might miss the opening stage of the IPL and said that he would be “100 per cent available” to bat and bowl for his Mumbai Indians franchise. Some media reports said that Green suffered a broken finger after being hit by an Anrich Norkia goalkeeper during the second Test against South Africa and that he would be able to bowl in IPL 2023 only after April.

Green counted his news about the Mumbai Indians as hearsay.

Cameron Green, 23, was added to the squad by Mumbai Indians for Rs 17.5 crore. He is the second most expensive player in the history of the IPL. He dismissed his absence from the IPL as a rumor and said that he did not know where he started.

Green said: “No, that’s not right. I think I’ve been hearing about that for a long time. I don’t know where it started. I am 100 per cent available in both departments (bowling and batting) from the very beginning in the IPL.
